He was the best third baseman in the NL in the 1960's. He played in a pitching dominated decade (Koufax, Gibson, Marichal, Drysdale) and still put up some very good offensive numbers and add five gold gloves and several years of leading the NL in putouts to boot. <br /><br />I believe the HOF has watered down its membership over the years but Ron Santo is truly deserving because he was great for a long period of time.Erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00885170314284340429noreply@blogger.com
